Health Insurance Navigator

Open Enrollment for 2016 coverage begins on November 1st.

Do you already have a marketplace plan? You should still compare plans every year. Find a checklist to get you ready for re-enrollment here.

Lobstermen are independent business owners. They don’t have a Human Resources department to help them enroll in a health insurance plan. Many lobstermen have never had health insurance, or have been under-insured. The MLA has partnered with Fishing Partnership Support Services (FPSS) and is serving as a “Navigator” to help Maine lobstermen and their families understand Affordable Care Act requirements including health insurance options, subsidies and penalties. The MLA is committed to ensuring that Maine lobstermen have the information they need to make an informed decision when it comes to health insurance enrollment.

  • Open enrollment begins November 1, 2015 for coverage in 2016.
