About The Harpswell Lobster Boat Races
There is nothing more uniquely Maine than a day at the Harpswell Lobster Boat Races! For nearly 30 years, the Harpswell Lobster Boat Races have attracted fishermen, boat builders, and race fans alike due to the venue’s extreme beauty and fun, family atmosphere.

About Maine’s Lobster Boat Racing Association
Maine’s lobster boat racing circuit starts in Boothbay and ends in Portland, drawing boats from all over the state of Maine up and down the coast.

The townspeople of Harpswell, Maine have come together to rejoin Maine’s summer lobster boat racing circuit in 2019. “Anyone who knows Harpswell understands how much this event has meant to our town,” said Larry Ward, Harpswell Lobster Boat Races Committee Member. “We’ve been enjoying the races in our town for nearly 30 years, and most of us have grown up looking forward to them every Summer. It was a shame that Harpswell had to take a break due to a shortage of volunteers, but I can assure you we’re stronger than ever and we’re all committed to making this a great venue for locals, tourists and surrounding businesses for generations to come.”
