MLA Seeking New Development and Policy Staff
The Maine Lobstermen’s Association (MLA) seeks to fill two new positions: a Director of Advancement and a Policy and Advocacy Specialist. These are unique opportunities to support one of Maine’s most economically and culturally important industries by working with people who are passionate about a way of life that has sustained generations of Maine families in an environmentally sustainable way.

Meet the Staff
Executive Director of the MLA since 2001, Patrice is known as a major resource for the Maine lobster industry and the challenges it faces. She serves on several boards including the Lobster Research, Education and Development Fund and Atlantic Large Whale Take Reduction Team. She is President of the Maine Lobstermen’s Community Alliance, a non-profit sister organization to the MLA. Ms. McCarron formerly served as executive director to the Gulf of Maine Lobster Foundation, worked on fisheries issues for the New England Aquarium and was Director of the Marine Environmental Research Institute’s Resource Center.
Antonina “Andi” Pelletier
Antonina joined the MLA in the fall of 2015 after many years running her own business and serving on the Community Advisory Board at Maine Public. She brings a history of customer service and membership experience to this newly created position and has found the work more than rewarding. Ms. Pelletier also works in the development office of the Maine Lobstermen’s Community Alliance as well volunteering in her community.
A 2019 graduate of University of New England School of Marine Affairs, and a former MLA intern, Becky is a passionate lobster lover. She spent her college summers working aboard the Lucky Catch in Portland Maine. Becky is an artist in her free time and is currently exploring photography.

Elias is a 2021 summer intern joining us from the Marine Affairs program at UNE. His passion is legislative issues and fishing. And he’s a pretty good videographer too.
