Subject: INVITATION – Waterfront and Water Dependent Businesses Fact-Finding Meeting

I’d like to invite you to a meeting on March 21, 2019 with the Ad Hoc Harbor Planning Committee.

Meeting Date:   March 21. 2019

Time:    6:00 PM

Location: Rockland City Hall – Council Chambers

The Ad Hoc Harbor Planning Committee is responsible for developing a new Rockland Harbor Management Plan for consideration by City Council later this fall. The planning process involves 2 phases: fact finding, and identification of goals and strategies.  We are currently in the fact-finding phase.

The March 21 meeting will be a facilitated fact-finding discussion about existing conditions, trends, and opportunities that should be considered in preparation of the Harbor Plan.

While this meeting, like all harbor plan meetings, will be open to the public, discussion will be focused on hearing from waterfront and water-dependent businesses like yours.

Invitations are being sent to commercial property owners and businesses located directly on the water, as well as water-dependent businesses that use the harbor to provide goods or services. If you know of such a business who did not receive this invitation, please feel free to share this email.

This meeting is part of a larger public outreach process. There will be facilitated fact-finding discussions with other community and business interests later this spring.
