The Department of Marine Resources (DMR) announces the following remote aquaculture lease hearing:
Date: May 10, 2021
Time: 3:00 p.m.
Summary: At the day and time listed above, DMR will hold a remote public hearing on the application of Christopher Dickinson for a 1.00-acre, 20-year standard aquaculture lease on a site located southwest of Hog Island, Damariscotta River, Towns of Damariscotta and Newcastle, for the suspended culture of American/Eastern oysters.
If the remote public hearing listed above is postponed, an alternate remote public hearing will be held on May 11, 2021 at the same time. Notice of a postponement will be posted on the Department’s website.
Interested persons may participate in the remote hearing by computer or phone. To help manage the proceeding, interested persons need complete an online registration form no later than 5:00 p.m., April 25, 2021. After the registration deadline, DMR will contact interested persons with information about how to join the remote hearing. If you are unable to register online or need assistance with the form, please contact DMR.

INTERVENING: Applications to intervene need to be received by DMR no later than 5:00 p.m., April 25, 2021. DMR will decide whether to grant intervenor applications five days before the hearing. If you are granted intervenor status, you become a legal party to the proceeding. See the contact information below to request an intervenor application from DMR. You do not need to be an intervenor to participate in the proceeding.
